What is Bold Eagle
Bold Eagle is a unique Canadian Army Basic Training coarse. In is what is known as 'Basic Training' but in Canada is it called the Basic Military Qualification, BMQ, but with an indigenous component as it is for the Canadian Indigenous youth.

In short Bold Eagle is a military program for Aboriginal youth that consists of a weeklong culture camp followed by BMQ (Basic Military Qualification).
It is a 6 week long employment opportunity in the summer, with the option to continue with the Canadian Armed Forces. Approximate pay is $3700 for the 6 weeks. This training is a qualification within the Canadian Armed Forces. It is a challenging Coarse where you will meet many new people while growing self-confidence, self-discipline, teamwork and fitness.
There is NO OBLIGATION to the military although the training is a qualification that can be put towards a career in the Canadian Armed Forces if they so choose afterwards.

Who is Eligible to Apply:

Are you Aboriginal (First Nation, Métis or Inuit)?

Are you 16 years of age or older?

Have you completed Grade 10 or higher education? Can be finished grade 10 of the applying year with a written letter from your school.
